If it won't start off the battery there's definitely something wrong - either with the wiring and the battery or the Wallas itself.Interesting to see if this works as I have come to the conclusion that it was an expensive waste of money .Not practical at all ,never managed to start it without either engine running or on hook up.Even then it takes way too long to get any usable heat out of it .When it is up and running it works well, draws very little power and heats the van nicely,However I feel a good quality diesel heater would of been a much better investment, as I much prefer cooking outside so never really used it as a hot plate
It draws just under 10A from the battery for a good 5 - 10 mins. The leisure battery should be able to supply that.
Ours was supplied as new with a faulty glow plug and it didn't start well but once that was replaced it's been great!
