Is the VW Discover Media, or MIB2, or whatever its called any good? I'm looking to get one

To be honest I haven't got a clue what to put in there, the OEM one looks great!

Yup, despite many reports to the contrary, we’ve no problem with ours. It was replaced under warranty for the touchscreen failure, but as a unit, it’s fine.

I’ll go against the grain here, the biggest waste of £1200 I’ve ever spent.

Wired CarPlay which likes to frequently crash/disconnect, touchscreens are unreliable, DAB reception is poor, sound quality is average at best.

£1200 will get you a much better unit from Kenwood, Alpine etc.

My wife’s Tiguan has the newer unit which I assume is the same as the 6.1 and it’s far superior to the old Discover unit that my van came with.
