Well that’s conclusive - @CRS Performance I’m coming your way
Figuratively speaking, I hope!@CRS Performance I’m coming your way
Are you trying to start WW3?Option 3
Remap and some SoLow springs

You're not a fan of remaps then?Decent suspension, not just shorter springs, as for a remap as was said earlier a van racing looks as cheesy as.
Picture van A is doing 75mph but van B approaching from behind has to get past him as van B has the mighty 204 hp solid chocolate motor so he proceeds to line up for a fly past but van A sees this coming and takes his 102 hp 5 speed to the ragged edge at 80mph... what follows is an arse clenching race to see who bottles it first as Waze says the next gantry has a camera just like the previous bridge had a jam sandwich covering the north bound lanes... or was it a paramedic...![]()

Struggle with these conversations regarding the more powerful models of transporters or people remapping.Would we still be having this conversation about normal cars? Say the golf for instance available in many variants from a small engine to the GTI. Surely it’s everyone’s preference in life what they choose to drive around in?Seven years ago when we first got our T6 camper conversion I automatically assumed I would need a remap as 102hp on paper wasn't going to set any land speed records.
As it turned out 7 yrs later it's still at 102hp, for various reasons including no badges on the outside to indicate how many thousand horse power it is but Carlos Fandango wheels, H&R coil overs and thicker ARBs send the message that it's obviously got a W12 lump in it.
Factor in most Transporter drivers are a chill lot, you just know some try hard in his tricked out Audi isn't going to wave to another Audi driver but each generation Transporter will acknowledge an earlier or later van... well, apart from the current Transitporter maybe.![]()

Good choice folks. Spoke to @CRS Performance a few weeks ago, ran through my options, got advice about tyre sizes, settled on the Definition kit with a 50mm drip. Brilliant company to deal with.
What a transformation! I’m not going to lie and suggest I fully understand why standard suspension with heavy 20” wheels makes the ride crashy, something about unsprung weight…
These are night and day different. I now don’t wince when going over potholes or speed bumps - the suspension just soaks them up. The van now has more of a car feel. Feels better under braking too. Bit of an outlay, but well worth it imo.

I’ve not changed the tyres yet but 275/40/20. It was advice only at this stage, I’ve not acted upon it…yet. What's the tyre sizes now?

Will be going for 245/45/20 103xl soon.
Fancy being the guinea pig? Let me know how you get onBit narrower, similar diameter.
Mine is on 265/40/20 but tempted to try 245/45.
Hopefully it won't be for a while yet haha.Fancy being the guinea pig? Let me know how you get on![]()
You hit the nail on the head, but it’s alright ‘cos they’ve got a squiggly lettered registration plate, the bloke who made it said the cameras don’t like them, that’ll be £80.Decent suspension, not just shorter springs, as for a remap as was said earlier a van racing looks as cheesy as.
