Decent suspension, not just shorter springs, as for a remap as was said earlier a van racing looks as cheesy as.
Picture van A is doing 75mph but van B approaching from behind has to get past him as van B has the mighty 204 hp solid chocolate motor so he proceeds to line up for a fly past but van A sees this coming and takes his 102 hp 5 speed to the ragged edge at 80mph... what follows is an arse clenching race to see who bottles it first as Waze says the next gantry has a camera just like the previous bridge had a jam sandwich covering the north bound lanes... or was it a paramedic... 🤔 🤕:geek:

You're not a fan of remaps then? 😂

Seven years ago when we first got our T6 camper conversion I automatically assumed I would need a remap as 102hp on paper wasn't going to set any land speed records.
As it turned out 7 yrs later it's still at 102hp, for various reasons including no badges on the outside to indicate how many thousand horse power it is but Carlos Fandango wheels, H&R coil overs and thicker ARBs send the message that it's obviously got a W12 lump in it.
Factor in most Transporter drivers are a chill lot, you just know some try hard in his tricked out Audi isn't going to wave to another Audi driver but each generation Transporter will acknowledge an earlier or later van... well, apart from the current Transitporter maybe. :geek:

Struggle with these conversations regarding the more powerful models of transporters or people remapping.Would we still be having this conversation about normal cars? Say the golf for instance available in many variants from a small engine to the GTI. Surely it’s everyone’s preference in life what they choose to drive around in?

I have the mighty chocolate 204, just done 260 miles today from God’s own to north Devon towing a trailer. ACC set to 60mph, most of the trip was in 7th gear/1500rpm. Averaging 40mpg. The torque from these engines is impressive.
