Vland T6 LED Projector Headlights

Best go check mine! - luckily I still have the box they were sent in.
When I ordered mine it did say there were only one or two sets left. I'm hoping that meant RHD versions as I've got my MOT tomorrow and I don't really fancy whipping the bumper off again to put the old lights back in! 🫣

How did it got with the MOT 64 split? I am ready to pull the trigger on these (I messaged asking if they were LHD or RHD and they confirmed they were RHD, the ones I am looking at anyway). Could do with an Ebay voucher now lol!

Did anybody work out if it’s possible to adjust the headlights L to R. They are still brilliant in mine and I think I have got the height right now (really easy to adjust) and have confirmed the ones I fitted are RHD and they have the required kick up to the left on the beam pattern. I would like to just adjust them slightly if possible though side to side. The instructions that came with them show a second adjuster for this but I can’t see it on mine now they are fitted, I think the instructions are just a generic picture. Alternatively I can probably get a little adjustment on the mounting screws if needed that will satisfy what i want. Cheers

Has anybody ordered from Au-autotech?

Item Here

Currently up for ÂŁ527 rather than the more common ÂŁ599 listing
Hi mate, I have contacted pretty much all of the different vland sellers- some are LHD, all the RHD drive ones I have found are not in stock... so its going to be a dark rest of the winter by the looks of it lol! (They appear in stock however when you message them they confirm they are not ready to ship).

I think i'll wait for some of these to get back in stock then...

Side note, has anybody driven abroad with them? Any adjustment required?

Update is mine failed MOT today, near side headlight level motor has stopped working and they couldn’t get the height right with the adjustment screws. I’ve contacted seller to see if they will send me a replacement.

When fitting there is an adjuster at the very bottom of the headlight where one of the mount bolts go through, I set these in same position as the oem ones I removed.

I’m thinking a couple of turns more and would be enough to bring it up enough. When I search headlight adjustment the lower ones are never mentioned..?

Can I ask the lights you are talking about here, are these full LED lights a replacement for factory LED or can they replace factory Halogen headlights (2018 LWB TSI)
Obviously the thread was started last September… any issues been discovered

The 8mm plastic adjuster bolts work very slowly, you need loads of turns to get even the slightest rise in the beam I found.

The adjustment on the mounting screws is only really to get the light to fit the bumper and bonnet properly, I think whatever you adjust there would be counteracted by the built in headlight levelling system.

Good luck trying to get anything from the seller, I’ve been fobbed off since November being promised a new light cos one of the leds stopped working and they just keep saying it has to come from China and will take 40 days. Presumably they’re just waiting for it to be over the years warranty and then tell me to do one. Same with the radio interference, they promised to sort it out with some module but nothing happened.

If I knew this I would’ve never bought these lights, there’s no costumer service and I think the quality is pretty poor.

Yeah, I found adjustments really awkward especially on the nearside as the adjustment screw is difficult to adjust once in. Good to know the adjuster on the bottom is for positioning the light in the van rather than height, thanks

Now off the van I can see that the headlight is broken inside, the level motor is snapped off its mount, likely dropped during shipping. I just didn’t realise when fitting, if you turn it upside down the lenses drop down and are not held in place. The functional light has no movement.

So far the seller has been helpful, just asked for video of the damage. I was told replacement will take 18days to arrive…

The interference to DAB is a little annoying but it depends where you are as it’s fine for me near home but long distance it cuts out, you need to get a shark fin aerial. If you have a pop top you can have an aerial fitted in the rear door. A place in Great Yarmouth does this but it’s about £400, I can dig out there contact info if interested?

Now that I have looked into this a lot more I wish I had gone with Gbrite headlights. At first look they seem the same just having dynamic indicators and priced twice as much. But the back of the light they are very different and easier to adjust on the van as the adjustment screws are better positioned, plus uk based and have fitting available.

That's what they said with me, first 20 days, then it was oh sorry they have sold out again wait another 40 days... etc

I wish I had bought the gbrite lights too!

It's only the little upstand bit of DRL led that doesn't work on mine so not the end of the world, just looks a bit odd compared to the other one.

The more I read about people’s experiences with these lights the more glad I am that they didn’t accept my offer on them. May look at what folks have to say about the Gbrite ones, and if there is any issues with them.

Yeah I must say I am thinking the same. I am holding out until the THQ ones come out and then compare them with the GBrites. I will then take too long to decide, they will be out of stock and I will remain literally in the dark lol!

It seems the GBrites are only for t6, not the 6.1 ? Unless I’ve missed something, gutted as I want better lights
