Vehicle sale advice

Hi all

Just after some thoughts regards a van sale to a VW garage. The garage in question had one of the sister garages check my vehicle over near to me. The garage is happy with it, the question is they want to pick it up from my house, then take it back to their place. Once it’s there they will do a bacs payment. Does anyone see anything wrong in this or should I be delivering myself to said garage. Obviously I would draft a letter saying inspected and accepted and sold as seen before it left the driveway

Thanks in advance

I can’t realladvise but from personal experience...

The VW dealership that I BOUGHT my crafter from, folded within 7 days of the sale being completed.

best of luck

“Always listen to your inner warning bells” is something that I have learnt in life.....offer to deliver to their place, have some conduct a visual check to confirm what sister garage said and transfer the dosh!

You can’t get a Pizza delivered without paying first .....If they are an honest company they will understand your concerns and pay on collection....Follow your instincts

Talk to the dealer they will understand your concern... the collector will wait till you confirm the money is in your bank account Tell them you are on the T6F to it's theirs once they drive off with it.

So if a customer is buying a vehicle from them can the customer go and collect the vehicle and pay for it when they get home?
They're being unreasonable and I wouldn't be happy to proceed with that arrangement. I'd say when the money is in my bank your employee can take it away.

Transfer funds up front and do the V5 transfer. I got caught selling a bike and letting the new owner complete the V5 for me as I was in a hurry.
Two months later I had CID in my house accusing me of a crime committed with the bike.
Trust no f’ker.

Cleared funds in your account before you hand it over, if the boot was on the other foot would they let you drive off in a vehicle you hadn't paid for.

I like your rationale!
