Van Slam Coil Overs With 20inch Wheels Tyre Size???

Hey guys, my plan is to go van slam coilovers which drop 70mm max, with 20” wheels. So my first quandary is tyre size and ride quality, i had 35’s on my first T5 but it was jus on different springs and the ride was shocking! Wondering if I would get away with 40’s with a 70mm drop without tyres rubbing the arches?? Or the better looking 35’s with decent shocks etc compliments the ride quality!!

Next comes the wheel width issue combined with above!!
