Unhelpful comments

On another paid membership car club forum I frequent, a year or so ago a new member asked lots of questions for advice / opinion on what he was planning with his car, when that advice came from people with many years experience of the marque he rubbished it / dismissed it. Now he gets very little response to his posts - he is one of two people I’ve ignored on the forum.

The harsh reality is that the response / reaction of existing forum members is directly attributable to how you post / come across. Which is the same in any interaction in life.

I can honestly say this is the nicest and most helpful forum I frequent and the depth of knowledge is incredible. People always try and help when I have a problem and I try to give something back by posting about things I’ve overcome.

We have the odd incident kick off like any forum, usually people not putting a price on something for sale, but generally pretty minor stuff. I’ll just report anything I’m concerned about now and let the moderators deal with it rather than get embroiled myself.

Stick with it - if you have a transporter then there is no better place to be. The search function is brilliant albeit some subjects are ‘epics’ and need a bit of time to read through!!

I completely agree. In my experience, the T6 Forum is an exemplar of what an online special interest community should be.
