I've just been on the telephone to Camskill looking to buy some new tyres.
I was asking about Michelin Primacy 5 and the CrossClimate 3 Sport. Both of which have a 102 load rating in 245/45R19 - the size I was looking at.
The Camskill guy on the phone told me that neither of those were load rated as on the sticker on my door jam the weight ratings listed are 103 or 104.
I suggested a 102 would be ok for my van as its a T30 and that equates to a 101 or above. He said this does not matter, that it would fail its MOT, my insurance would be invalid and the Police could prosecute at any time.
Plus he also said I would get about 4k miles maximum for either of those tyres.
So I was wondering if there are any MOT testers on here that could confirm this?
