For the electrical geniuses on this forum, please: I have a main and a secondary (leisure) battery, with a solar panel. My Webasto diesel heater wouldn’t start, and the engineer found that the battery wasn’t charged enough for the heater to fire up. I have battery monitoring, and they both discharge (?) to 10.3/10.4, even after runs, and sunny weather. They have both been renewed in last 5 years. It seems odd to me that both read similar readings. Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Somethings wrong.

Solar should keep your leisure topped up if it's working, can you see anything on the controller?

Is your starter topped up by the Solar or a separate battery maintainer?

Also, is it too late to change your thread title to something more relevant?

If not, you can 'report' your post and a Mod should be able to change the title.

At that voltage it’s fairly safe to say they are permanently damaged and will need replacing.
Obviously the charging system is the cause so that needs diagnosis to prevent damage to the new batteries.
