Auto term heater

Hi all,
can anyone help please I have an auto term diesel heater and have downloaded the wiring instructions and have noticed there are two 25 amp fuses one to the positive and one to the negative side also I've found 2 fuses under my seat that matches this description one to the positive side of the battery and one to the negative side of the battery please correct me if im wrong but I thought it was only live side that you were supposed to fuse..? or is it just my lack of knowledge.

I asked this exact question on the Facebook group a week ago, boss man Owen Cox said it's so that when people write them up wrong the fuse blows rather than wrecking the expensive heater.

Yes, standard proceedings are to fuse the POS feeds.

But as above a fuse on the NEG can prevent disaster if incorrectly connected.

I rewired mine after the initial fitting, dropped the NEG fuse and run the POS feeds to a fuse block.
