TSI engine code

I’ve done a bit of searching here and elsewhere but finding conflicting information.

Can anyone confirm what the engine code is for the TSI?

Ultimately my question is, is it an EA888?

It’s an EA888 cover but it doesn’t look comparable.

There's CJKA & CJKB fitted to the T6, A is 204, B is 150 BHP, apparently the 150 maps to the same as the 204 It is a derivative of the EA888 Gen 2, rather than the Gen 3 fitted in the Golf R/S3/TTS etc

Depends on the mounting points, they can be unbolted but no idea if VW kept any of the original Gen2 arrangement on the T6 variants

There is that Never seen a Transporter with an engine cover tbh, guess that's why VW did the engine bay covers given the pipework arrangement

Humour me. Are these to mount a cover! I can see 3 of them!





And the lad selling the cover send me this photo of the back of it

There are two rough threaded studs on the underside of the scuttle, these take mushroom fixings and carry the rear of the cover
Then the front shares the screw that supports the screen wash filler tube and a second screw somewhere I can remember

I've got a genuine VW cover for my TSI that I never fitted if you're interested?
