Hello there,

I have a 2019 T6 with the 2.0 TSI engine (motor code CJKB, 150hp)

Bought it at 77.000km - 48.000 miles.
Engine is dead (at 104.000 km / 65.000 miles).
Ofcourse I'm gutted as you can imagine...

I might have found a replacement engine but it's a CJKA - 204HP.

Both motors are identical but would it be compatible, especially electronicaly wise ?

I really appreciate any help on that matter...

Have a nice day.

Impressive :)

I bet they did a lot more modifications than I plan to do...
They must have changed all of the electonics ofcourse

I bet CJKA and CJKB engines are compatible without doing a single thing but I'm a bit unlucky lately so I wouldn't want to order a 5000€ motor which would be incompatible with my van somehow

Regards

Hello,

Very simple : I had the oil pressure problem.
I opened the oil pan : metal flakes in it. So I'm guessing the connecting rod (and crankshaft ?) bearings are gone.
To replace the crankshaft bearings, you've got to remove the whole engine, praying God that it was the only damages.

So the smartest thing to do is to replace to whole engine. Just to be sure...

Funny thing : the crooks at the VW dealership told me a new engine costs 15.000£. So I had to do find help elsewhere

And yes it was mapped, Stage 1, nothing fancy. I don't think that was the cause of the problem.

I did the service every 6000 miles religiously with high quality oil.

I'm never buying a VAG automobile again for the rest of my life.

Now I've got a Ford Transit Custom on long-term rental.
When the engine will blow (and It will according to the press), I'll just pick another one from the dealership.
I figured "If you don't buy things, you don't buy the problems either", right ?

Well, that's life. It could be worse but I've got two arms, two legs, my health,... I can't complain
