Trying to match upholstery

Hi guys, I have recently bought a 2017 T6, it currently has a bench front passenger seat but I want to change this to a single captains chair, how do I find out the existing upholstery fabric? Any hints or tips? I have been told I can find it on the reg and or vin but no idea where to go with that information?

Post a photo of your seat here and make sure to include a close up of the pattern. If it's a standard VW fabric, someone will be able to tell you the name of it so you know what to look for

Thank you and I will do, it’s having its MOT and a few bits done at the moment so when it’s back I’ll add some pics

There are loads of pictures on the forum of seats where this question had been asked before with the names of all the fabrics if you can remember what yours looks like.

Have a search for Simora or Brick. Those are the most common types of fabric pattern if your seat is an original manufacturer one.

Bricks is only T6.1 so chances are it will be Simora.

Easy peasey! Replace with leather, job done.

Congratulations on getting your T6. Now start doing the lottery and praying.

Because once you see the prices of original VW single passenger seats you will need a lottery win. ( ask me how I know....)

Bench is sadly worth almost nothing. Just gave mine away free.

Could any of you fine folks tell me what material colour and type of material this is please?
I need to find out asap as I'm looking to have a rib bed upholstered to match.

Thank you all for your help. Have found and had fitted a single captains passenger seat, looks much better, more room and can now walk through!! Thank you all
