Anyone had issues when towing . Got a 7 pin tow socket . Running lights on caravan don't work .. tested fine on mates car .. help?

I can't help with your fault but it could be a good thread about tow bars and electrics as I will need to have a tow bar fitted in the new few months. I will be looking for 13 pin euro and a good bar if any one can recommend one .Was yours fitted at the factory or the dealers as I have some fitted by the dealer who just take it down the road to the local towbar fitter.

Dealer fitted. Bit of research mentions an override will be speaking to dealers tomorrow

To my knowledge a lot of dealers outsource
Westfalia is the OEM fit kit

@Nellydevine if it's factory/dealer fit i would return to dealer for investigation first

Mine worked fine, purchased a little 13 to 7 pin adaptor off EBay for a fiver. All works a treat, even shows on reverse parking display there's a trailer on the back.

I've got the factory fit so not much help.

Couple of things to check, has the caravan got LEDs on it? see if there is someone with Vag Com near that can run the checks from the software.
