Towbar mounted storage boxes

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with a towbar mounted storage box? Thinking of getting a Towbox Alpha but unsure about the clearance with a Tailgate
I have VWT6 with a tailgate. The lady at the shop was also unsure

Any advise gratefully received

I have a picture from the California forum of the (previous model) Towbox v3 just clearing the tailgate, no idea what the Alpha is.

Hi Thanks,
I have the instruction manual downloaded the tailgate clearance is shown on page 4. Unfortunately my van is in a garage having a pop top fitted so I cant check it directly .
I have attached the manual

If you need access, the latest V3 has a leg and wheel and swings away?

Hate to think what the price is though!
