anyone know where the yellow/red core that feeds the 40amp fuse come from I've no 12v to both 20amp fuse for tow bar which is under passenger seat

OEM or aftermarket towbar?

Most tow bar kits are wired direct to the starter battery POS terminal and have two or more fuses.

If it’s a genuine VW or Westfalia loom the 12 volt is usually from underneath the passenger seat using the distribution panel there. Usually two fuses as well or at least that’s what I’ve always installed
