I like this idea!I have a wireless charging module hidden underneath (with switches to turn on/off and to turn the LED I mounted on/off). Chuck phone in and it charges![]()

I wonder if you have a link for the 3D printing? - I could not fine one that fitted...... Thanks
I run a leisure battery (under driver's seat) so it runs off that, cable route follows the existing wiring up there along the top of the windscreen and then down the b pillar under the passenger seat to where I have all of the fuses (re-purposed the OEM fuse block). The charger itself I bought bare from Alixpress, it has an onboard LED but took a punt that a couple of the pads on the board were for an external LED...they areI feel like you need to provide photos as proof of this awesomeness. This is the best idea I have heard about for the cubby hole. Am inspired. Cable route and power supply info/photos would be good too. Good job @phazer

Pics below show it mounted and the switches,LED etc I have a full cab blackout hence black plastic

Just thinking the same about the lip.Love the charger ...but I'd reckon maybe adding a lip to the front of the pocket![]()
The phone is too big so sticks out and too much to add anything that wouldn't look crap. There is already a lip on the cubby but you'd need to cut the back and extend it to get the phone to sit in and be held by the lip. With some patience and plastic welding it could be done but this is fine for me, it was only really for when parked up.Love the charger ...but I'd reckon maybe adding a lip to the front of the pocket![]()
Thank you, I printed it off and it way to small and not the right shape. Worth a try none the less, guess Bose speaker stays where it is for now.Afternoon. The thread is locked, so no more trays for anyone. But, for the record, I've made barely any profit and it will be a relief not to have to watch a machine for 11 hours a day while it prints one, in case the nozzle blocks or the prints unsticks from the bed etc.
I was doing it for the good of the cause and there's generally one scrap for every good one, given all that can go wrong whilst printing.
I've designed different types on request, and not charged, I've advised on how others can do them and I've even sent my design to people to print them themselves.
I'll upload the...
Is it this one? Seems a few T6s had a different hole.Thank you, I printed it off and it way to small and not the right shape. Worth a try none the less, guess Bose speaker stays where it is for now.
Just printing it now, will come back later with update. Thank you.Is it this one? Seems a few T6s had a different hole.
Post in thread 'Highline overhead cubby-hole tray - 3D printed'
Finally got around to playing with a design for this and produced a prototype. It's not a perfect fit, the gap seems to taper slightly as it goes in, but it does fit and is useable. I will come back to it one day and try and refine it a bit more.
I don't have time to print these in bulk and I don't think there'd be much demand for them anyway as most people seem to have the Highline cubby, but the STL file is attached below for anyone who wants to print it themselves.
It's in black filament @Wayne7450 so would need sanding/priming/painting but if you want the prototype gratis, pm me...
Is this the stuff ppl push down between the dash and windscreen? Read it a while ago but can't find it"sounds like a golf" seal
No it's the Thq door sealsIs this the stuff ppl push down between the dash and windscreen? Read it a while ago but can't find it
Maybe a hole rather than a knob?Needs a much more subtle handle , the knob looks daft.
