To amplify or not???

Hey Everyone,

I'm hoping to upgrade my T6.1 audio system very soon and wondered what peoples thoughts / experiences were with adding an amplifier or not?
I've had numerous chats with people and some say I definitely need to add one and some say there's no need. Any thoughts?
I want to add a sub, upgrade the front speakers and add speakers behind the rear seats.

I'd say your gonna need an amp. Head units dont have much power and even if it can it's going to run like the clippers adding distortion which will damage the speakers. Not worth the risk TBH

Definitely, I’ve got a small Kenwood tucked away, nothing very powerful, but it gives a more powerful sound, more kick, more oomph.

Search for Eton speakers.
If you chose the correct speaker upgrade then there’s no need for an amp.

The T6.1 door speakers are 6.5” unfortunately you cannot go bigger like the T6

i suggest a nice set of door and pillar tweeters along with a amp to drive them and a sub..
