Timing belt and torque settings T6 CXFA

Good Morning

The time has come for my first timing belt change on my T6 Cali Beach. I have read countless articles and forum responses, and watched many YouTube videos in preparation to do this myself.

However, I am still not clear on the torque settings for all the bolts and nuts. Does anyone have these please, preferably with a diagram?

Close! But the Nut bolts onto studs that are screwed into the engine block. Maybe VW suggests not replacing them as they are not mentioned??

What make of belt and pump are people using and who is the best supplier ? Plus which camlock tools are needed .My search techniques can't be up to much as I haven't been able to find a single post on changing the cam belt ,just lots of posts on when to change !!

Just two pins and crank locking tool, don’t neglect slackening the cam and pump bolts to correctly tension on the belt, they are an easy belt to do

Yes they are supposed to be but try approaching them I’ve walked into other branches and not been asked for any proof

I’m not a pattern part fan, I make it quite clear if someone wants me to do work for them if they want pattern parts they get them and I don’t want to know if they a problem after

I agree totally Is there anywhere else to buy genuine parts if the local TPS prove difficult

Only over the counter at vw but will be a bit extra, nothing wrong with a little white lie at TPS counter, walk in looking a bit simple good chance they’ll think you work at kwik fit and you’ll get served

Built lots of ford engines for track days not a problem getting quality parts VW seems a bit trickier to find, a lot of places advertising 5 or 6 different brands of belt Gates ,Bosch etc but nothing that says VW .are they branded as VW or are they manufactured by someone else
