Thule or Fiamma awning

Hi guys,

We are booking our T6 in for a conversion in June. This will be our first camper and first conversion so complete newbie. We have been looking at the roll out awnings and the two makes seem to be Thule and Fiamma. Has anyone here experience of using both? Which one would people recommend and why?
And also would you recommend having a roll out awning at all?

Yeah we’re currently really undecided and are now considering a tarp for short breaks and a bit away awning for longer breaks so may just have a awning tail fitted

I have a Thule fitted to my California, I have no experience of Fiamma, but VW have been fitting Thule as factory option for many years so can't be too bad.
