THQ Rear 6.1 LED lights - Odd behaviour

Having recently fitted THQ 6.1 Rear LED lights to a T6 with standard rear LEDs i have noticed some odd behaviour with the rear indicators.

When the engine is off = Indicators behave normally.

When the engine is On and idling = Drivers side misses a flash, every 5th flash. Passenger side goes out of sync every 5 to 10 seconds and doesnt complete the full flash, then returns to normal before going out of sync again.

When the engine is revved, both rear flashers become slightly more erratic, going out of sync, failing to complete full sequence or skipping a flash altogether.

Anyone else seen or heard of this issue.. With both lights behaving wierd only when the engine in on, it doesn't feel like the lights are faulty..? Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Are these "dumb" lights or the ones that do the animation?

If it's the animated ones then there is a microcontroller in there doing that sequencing and I suspect one of two things are happening:

1. Very tiny voltage drop outs are causing the microcontroller to reset during the flashing (and thus missing part of the pattern)
2. There is some form of voltage spike disrupting the microcontroller from detecting the start of the flash correctly.

Given it's related to engine revs I'd think it would be more the second, voltage drops sound more likely when on battery alone. Do you get any odd noises on analogue radio?

Thanks for the reply, I haven't listened to analogue radio, so will need to check and confirm.

I will share a video link below that shows the engine on and idle behaviour of the lights... its more apparent with engine revs though.
