YES me too... anyone?

People tend to throw away the original panels from the van when they do a conversion, so you might find some those going free - they would make good templates. In fact I think someone on this forum had some spare recently.

It doesn't cost that much to buy the ply panels pre-cut on Ebay.

Yes Pete i can see that, I'm just reshaping some (very) badly installed ply panels that have been put in by a previous owner who managed to avoid as much work as possible by using huge in fact well oversized ply panels with no attempt to fit them correctly using the existing VW panel pin locations but screwed directly into the metal of the van sometimes drilling about 5 drill holes in an attempt to get a self tapper to hold (see pics)directly through the carpeted panels and burying the head of the screw into the freshly glued carpet making most of them a pain in the arse to find and unscrew...I can only assume this was a rushed attempt to get a van sort of converted as cheaply as possible to sell it to some total mug like me who may buy it without noticing !... phew... anyway having vented that... I'm trying to reshape his atrocious work on the panels (trying to follow the curves and outlines of the original panels) and use the original VW fixing locations.. and of course, it's not an easy job without the templates to work from...

I may just give up with these panels and buy the e-bay jobbies BUT it seems pretty pointless if I could just get the correct dimensions I can then recut and drill the correct holes etc.. I've managed to remove the carpet so can reapply it to the newly shaped ply panels or as you say just go buy some pre shapes panels and re-use the carpet... but if I can I would like to re-use the ply and save myself the £100+ on pre-cut panels as I've been spending a fortune.. I will weigh up the pros and cons whilst waiting for anyone who may have some templates hanging around..

I see your problem !

Just be careful as I have heard that some of the EBay panels aren’t perfect either.

Might be worth putting a Wanted ad in the Sales Forum.
