Team Chestnut Brown

I wouldnt say I'm normally the biggest fan of brown but I really like that mostly because it's a tsi but partly cuz it reminds me of my grandads metallic brown mk1 escort . 😊
Great to hear and his mk1 escort sounds sweet! The TSI is awesome and I’m trying to keep it as ā€˜OEM’ as possible :)

Did you win, also what wheels if you don't mind?
Unfortunately not, Lando retired with 4 laps to go šŸ˜”

I can’t remember what the wheels are, they’ve been on since I bout it a few years ago, thought Ivan had the re cut and finished over last winter.

About time I got around to a proper hello, as well as general "Thank you" to all who have offered advice and answers to my early questions. Been a very happy owner for nearly a year now, with only a few small changes along the way. The wheels are new, swapped out some tatty 20s for these 18s, plus added a little more tyre too, we're on 235/55s. Not so perfectly planted as the 20s, but still absolutely fine cruising at 80mph, and definitely a huge amount more comfortable over the bumps and potholes. Added comfort via Seat Surgeons for an excellent rebuild of out front seats - that was a real game changer. And my first major service and chckover revealed a pretty ropey remap in place, so had the Revo map in to replace it. A much better drive after that change. This is the replacement for my much loved, 2001, 225,000mile T4, so a world of difference. Basically, it's awesome.

I believe that they are 23mm and 28mm, front and back respectively, but will check the box and update if not. I got them from a fellow forum member, unused, and they have been in the garage for months hence my uncertainty.
21mm and 25mm ;)
