Lots here in the UK have slideouts, but 1. I don't cook and Mrs CAB ain't gonna stand around outside cooking my dinner, and 2. we camp all year round, and 3. it's the UK!

Thought that might be the case… been thinking of a shelter for the tailgate, so I don’t have to cook in the rain/searing sunlight, if I go for the slide out option. Something simple that can be deployed easily so I don’t have to faff with poles and pegs if it’s raining.

The wheels, whilst they look great, will be swapped for a set of Claytons, hopefully next weekend.

As it was collected yesterday. 23 plate with 42k on the clocks, T32 LWB BiTDI 204 Highline Kombi with DSG with barn doors and a few subtle upgrades from the previous owner.

I’m looking at a 55mm drop and 20s. Maybe if I’d bought a 4motion the swamper route would have made sense

Fitted my new wheels today, very happy with my choice.

Also didn't really notice until I took these photos today with my DSLR that the passenger side door rear is a slightly different colour.

The history of the van does show bodywork and respray on the NSR rear quarter which explains it.

Going to lower about 40mm soon as well.

Just had fresh paint! Gave me the opportunity to change the front end! Very happy with it now

Managed to get away for a night to test the pop-top.

Conclusion: Pop-top is great, but a rear bench is not - x2 RIB seats/beds incoming!
