Well mine made it all the way up to 3000m on the Vol du Sommellier, so I'm gonna say yes! Just lacks a lower 1st gear, but will tackle anything your're likely to want it to do.

FaithfulDonkey Hi, CB Radio on your truck? What channels frequencies might it have. I am considering buying one. I have not used one for 20- 30 years but I feel like being pulled.

CB is pretty dead these days unfortunately, I bought a new one a few years ago, will dig it out and plug it in again.

Hey KoB,
Not sure exactly but covers all the AM and FM channels available across UK and Europe. The only real use these days is if you are in convoy where its a lot easier than mobile phones to chat away to fellow convoyers...usually to announce wee stops, bacon butty stops..

Thank you FaithfullDonkey for your reply. I originally bought a CB 30-40 years ago for gate purposes and when in convoy with friends in the Staffs and Shropshire LRC or the Landrover 101 C&R you know tail-end Charlie close the gate or leave it open or pull over a LR is squeezing through the other way, congestion at the ford turn right at the end at the C---road Though mostly the wife and I spent most of our time off road totally on our own right throughout the year most week ends and hols. It was a bit of insurance and have rescued the occasional who might have drowned an engine at a deep ford and needing a tow. That is when I discovered conversation, during mainly the camped up periods. Besides seeing Amateur Radio Aerials as I drive about I also see some CB Aerials also some as old as the ark perhaps been in situe for ever but others not so old and just wondered if they where on their way back. I guess I could buy one and talk to my self and maybe might pick up the occasional long range close the gate and wonder which track the transmit might be on. I guess I could sell if it was not of use there must be a market plenty on line and a few venues. It is not really a big thing just wondering. All dressed up and nowhere to go probably.

Been waiting a couple weeks for the wrap work to be done “the lads have been busy”, but this Friday looks like the big day to finally pick up my 4Mo Bus, and start my Dub Bus adventures.

Started off all silver, now has an “Elephant grey gloss” lower, with a black pin stripe to split the line.

✌️&🫶 Craig
