Tambour Door!

Hi all, has anyone had any issues with vertical Tambour doors? I’ve got an Evo Motion kitchen & the tambour door which holds the water tank & gas bottle is stuck!
Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can fix it without taking the unit apart?

Is it stuck open/closed/part open? If it’s stuck closed it may be that somethings obstructing it.

Part open. Can lift about 3inches.

Can you reach inside and check for obstructions ?

It’s probably a small item that‘s been dragged in behind the roller.

A wooden spoon or plastic fish slice are implements of choice. Try poking whatever’s behind whilst rattling the door

Tried all that … a bruised arm to boot … but nothing is shifting

Can you pull the gas pipe from the back to see if it’s the bottle that’s jammed?

stick a phone in there and take some video as you move the phone about to see if you can see what's stopping it.

My final suggestion would be to secure the services of a small child or someone with small arms.

I think I may have to … the last alternative will be to break it or cut a hole in the shelf above it so I can put my hand down and through ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tape a short piece of hose pipe to a vacuum cleaner nozzle and feed it in behind the roller with the vacuum cleaner running. Move the hose about and it should suck onto the item that’s jamming the roller.
