Table Rail + Mount Inspiration

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my sliding table rail, which as you can see has slowly melted over time as a result of cooking with the grill.

I was wondering if anyone has used an alternative to the norm style mount which isn't going to end up in the same state as my current one?

Does the grill have a pull-out heat shield?

It is not very obvious.

Ahh, is that what that thing is! D'oh i feel like an idiot now... thanks i'll just buy a like for like replacement in that case
