Looking for Rear Bench That Folds Backwards (VW T6 Caravelle 2016 4Motion)

Hi everyone,
I have a 2016 Caravelle 4Motion with the original rear bench that folds forward. I’d like to replace it with the version that folds backwards, as I’m trying to create a comfortable bed setup at a better height.

Does anyone know:

• Which specific bench models/years fold backwards?
• Are they compatible with my 2016 Caravelle rails and mounting points?
• Anything I should be aware of when swapping the benches (wiring, airbag sensors, weight differences, etc.)?
• Recommendations on where to source one?

Any advice or photos of your setups would be really appreciated!

It should fold backwards to. As it folds back, the seat cushion raises up. If you are trying to do it whilst sitting on the seat, it won't move.

I haven't found a way how to fold it backward - only forward, or I can remove it completely by pulling by the string from the back, close to the ground. Is there a chance mine is not foldable to the back? Or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any guidance! And if this one is not foldable, it's back to my original Q thanks a ton!

I see your from Slovakia The rear bench on a uk caravelle is different and folds back and forward your seat i am afraid does not fold back.

In the UK your van is called Shuttle.

I see, thanks for the clarifiaction. Is there anything I can do or is there a specific type of bench I should be looking for in order to replace my original one? I didn't have much luck finding resources of any kind on that topic, so I will appreaciate any directions/recommendations

Did you find a solution also have a shuttle van

The UK Caravelle is a higher spec van than the UK Shuttle (Caravelle in the EU). It has a different bench seat that goes flat to make a bed.

Presumably their is an EU equivalent model?
