T6 Custom Panels.. easy to do it yourself!

So.. I wanted something different on my carpeted interior.. all that flat space, needs something to break it up. I had the idea of stretching the carpet over a design. I thought about ply, but in the end i bought a sheet of polystyrene and experimented.. drew out my favourite motorbike brand, traced the kids and mrs's hands.. the great thing with the 8 way stretch carpet and some spray glue.. when youre bored of it or fancy a change, rip it off.. start again!

I LOVE that! How do you get it to take the shape so well - does it heat shrink?
With lots of glue on both the panel and carpet, place a generous bit over the panel and then start to work it in with your hands. Then use a crew driver handle or something similar to keep running it around the shape and work it in with your hands at the same time. Any valleys, try to stretch the carpet with two hands and it start to get more and more into the shape. Practice on a shitty panel helps
