T6 Aftermarket Digital Instrument Cluster

Same problem with the oil-level error here. When i take a look at the oil level, it seems to drop down to 18mm sometimes .. that is the level what causes the problem.

I think the dashboard is updating the level to often, so that the bcm gives wrong data sometimes.

Waiting for a update ...
Look at the error again, does it say oil level or oil pressure... I think the two are unrelated. I got the oil pressure error when turning the van on and not moving it.

Just turn the oil pressure sensor setting off...

Sorry, you are right.
Error is the Oil pressure(lower than system etc)

It happens when not moving the van but also when i brake while moving.

The moment it happens, i see the oil level (live) drops down from 90mm (more or less) to 18mm. (1 second). Suppose this wrong value makes the system gives the error.

And yes, i allready turned the message of ..

For people with an android phone, how are you connecting phone to the dash? Bluetooth, WiFi hotspot, using cast or another app to mirror phone etc? Cheers

I have the v1 with wireless screen mirror/casting and used to cast my android screen. I've since got an Android headunit and now use wireless Android Auto on that.

I wish I had the v2 with HDMI input so I could show my headunit screen in the Digital dash.

I think you can add the hdmi-connection to your v1-cluster. It is just a small pcb which is connected to the cluster-board instead of the screen-mirroring-board (you can't have both hdmi and wireless screen-mirroring).
try to ask @antony.charnley for support

I've messaged him twice but no luck yet.

If anyone else knows which pcb to order from aliexpress, I'll order it...

Not sure how I missed this thread until now! Just spent the last 2 hours in work reading all 29 pages! Awesome work guys - especially Antony/Everest-VW!

I think I'm going to take the plunge -

Van - Startline (mine is the basic startline dash so this would be an amazing upgrade to see more info)
Headunit - I have an aftermarket Kenwood headunit
MFSW - I have a golf R wheel fitted but never got round to the wiring (just liked the look of the wheel better). I would be buying the digi dash with the remote controller from Antonys site to get around the lack of MFSW
LCD Panel - I note from CJWs post the startline panel ribbon cable is not removeable so I plan to do the hot glue on the back solution like he did
Speed Warning - I currently have no way of setting this due to aftermarket HU and no MFSW so will need to address the warning with the battery disconnect method if it happens
Current van features - I dont have cruise control. I dont mind my satnav and phone only being via the headunit so the dash seems like a good option still
Range issue - This could be an annoyance for me as I like to see what mileage I have until fill up. Hopefully there is a solution for this eventually.

One outstanding question -

Service due - How do I know when my service will be due after fitting this if the old dash is gone?

I think the pros out weigh the cons for me and once I got it setup the way I want it I would stop tinkering with it.

After reading all these posts and problems, i'm starting to think about not getting one now, as they seem to be lots of issues and hassle trying to make things work, and when your not very clued up or confident in taking these thing apart 😢
Me too
I will wait patiently until a new version with all the bugs fixed comes out

You can activate cruise control on your startline by adding a few wires and making sure your MFSW has the correct buttons
There’s various threads on how to do this.
I did it on mine and it’s been one of the best mods I’ve done.

Thanks mate, my MFSW doesn’t have the buttons. I’m not bothered about it though, I’ve got it on my current car and my 3 cars before that and never used it once

That does seem very appealing at that price .... IF you can do it yourself. 🤔
Not sure I'm confident/competent enough to try it .
