T6 Aftermarket Digital Instrument Cluster

I just updated FROM a September 2024 software version TO a June 2025 software version after asking for an updated firmware from the support in China. I have a V1 with no HDMI, only wireless mirroring/USB CarPlay
Update seems great so far but alarmingly my car had a low engine oil warning which I didn't see until this new version was applied.

Yes, I know I should be checking the oil level manually and checking - must've been about a month since I last checked.

Other updates which pleased me was the ability to change the colour of the whole van, not just the top half.

I'll use the dash for a few days and let you know what else I've noticed. Unless anyone has access to a some well documented release notes ??
OOO, keep us posted, i have the same update ready to go, just haven't had a chance to install it.

And yes, its infuriating that they dont keep any form of changelog / fixes

It would be great if you can upgrade to the same version and feed back on if you have the same error message. Would put my mind as ease 😂

Everything else seems to be working well that I can tell...

Also, has anyone experimented with the Themes? Its on G7 by default, what do the others do? It requires a reboot so I've not done it yet...

Update: the developers said there is an option to turn off the oil pressure check. This prevents the message but now im unsure what happens if I legitimately get the error appear. 😂

Where are you contacting the developers? I'd emailed the store about this oil error but received no reply

Via the WhatsApp support information I got from the AliExpress purchase. Not sure I can pass this information on. I'd go back to them via your original purchase methods...

I think i want a copy of the "March Version" first.
The oil temp and level is always on my main screen - 204, 4motion, I tow regularly and have seen the size of the poor excuse of an oil cooler thats installed as standard.
(just call me paranoid)

I kinda assumed the recent releases would be unstable as @antony.charnley did say he would keep his customers informed when stable releases were available.

They seem to fix one thing and introduce another, which is confusing as it seems glairingly obvious things, I assume perhaps their releases cover multiple vehicles and they dont fully test each software version on each screen varient and some bugs only show up on some vehicles.

Ok so the Oil temp and Oil level still works perfectly, maybe there is no Oil pressure value via CAN? Hence being told to turn it off in preferences. Or similar to the Oil temp, it doesn't read a value until its warmed up?

What oil level does your van sit at? Worried I've over filled it now lol. It was anything between 80mm and 95mm sometimes dropping to 18mm for a split second over bumps or gear changes... defo not something I want to have on permanently, worries me too much!

BTW I've not found anything new that didn't already have an issue but did have some welcome improvements vs the version I was on.

Has anybody noticed this problem.

When firestick to alpine headunit is on and playing to the digi dash the temp gauge stops showing temp. The range stops counting and the digidash goes into night time mode with headlight icon on dash on but headlights not on.

Seems like a very specific scenario. Sounds like digital Dash isn't get any updates from CAN. Is it only when streaming thr firestick from the alpine to the digital dash or when you stream anything from the alpine to digital dash?

Does anyone with a V1 know what pcb board / parts to order to convert from wireless mirroring to HDMI input?

There might be an hdmi socket there already, covered by a label. There was on mine and it worked.

Mine after a fresh service and read about 90mm but fluctuates massively. between 82-94mm 'ish'. I would say the average is about 88-89mm when hot. Level on the dipstick to the top of the inner markings.

Yeah last night I checked the oil levels and it was fine. I also checked using Carista and there were no engine fault codes. Makes me think its the firmware and not the van.

How did you do this. Any pictures or perhaps I could give you a call.
I've reported the fault to the developers.

Well it didn't fix the distance remaining in the tank issue, I still had to manually set the car distance units to km via Carista to correct this. Unsure about the MPG yet as I've only driven it 5 min up the road and back.

Same problem with the oil-level error here. When i take a look at the oil level, it seems to drop down to 18mm sometimes .. that is the level what causes the problem.

I think the dashboard is updating the level to often, so that the bcm gives wrong data sometimes.

Waiting for a update ...
