Hi, early on this year I had a Webasto failure, it trying to start for a few minutes with no combustion happening, and the unit shutting down after trying. Got these error codes:

00153
B138515: Glow plug with flame monitoring, Open circuit/short circuit to B

00005
B13851B: Glow plug with flame monitoring, Resistance too high GLOW PLUG RESISTANCE TOO HIGH AFTER COOLING

00135
B138F00: Heater unit locked
HEATER INTERLOCK

I thought it's a glow plug, and recently got a spare burner. Today I'm starting to finally replace it and I noticed the overhead panel fails to even turn the fans on, not even Webasto

Recorded a short vid

Seems I'm blocked on my repair until I sort out that problem. Help would be much appreciated

Forgot to include this one error:

6E. Control Head Roof (VW TP2.0)
01207
Auxiliary heater control unit-J364

The AC system is Climatic, with a factory fitted Webasto parking heater and telestart

Hey, thanks for the reply,

I haven't tried unlocking Webasto. Not sure how to do that, will check around, any advice appreciated

Well, the title mentions both T6 and 2015.

For T6 (2016-19)

Heater unlocking:

VCDS ▷ Select Control Module ▷ 18-Aux.Heater ▷ Basic Settings ▷ IDE06654-Disengaging/Unlock heater
The fault code will stay in memory - can be cleared if so desired.

OBDeleven ▷ Control Units ▷ 18 Parking Heater ▷ Basic Settings ▷ Disengaging heater

For T5.1
Adaptation channel 3 - save value 1 into the channel

Brilliant, thank you! After unlocking the fans started working on button click. For the remaining error codes, I'm only getting:

00005
B13851B: Glow plug with flame monitoring, Resistance too high GLOW PLUG RESISTANCE TOO HIGH AFTER COOLING

01207
Auxiliary heater control unit-J364

Will report back if they get fixed after the burner replacement of my Webasto TT Evo. May be a dirty job.. (coolant, fuel feeds) :D

It's an early model, sold in bulk to Swedish Eltel before entering consumer market

Probably it's by VW terms MODEL YEAR 2016 even though built and registered in 2015. Their "model year" runs from approx. August till July.
Van's VIN should be WV1ZZZ7HZG, (or WV2ZZZ7HZG.... for a passenger carrier) where "G" notes model year 16, would have been "F" for model year 15, etc.

Thank you for your help @mmi

I am right after the burner replacement and indeed it was the issue; the glow plug was even cracked

Taking Webasto off was manageable, first cover, then connectors (some of them really hard to grasp how to detach), then Webasto itself. For the burner replacement this video was of great help

Important to note: get something ready to close the coolant lines since gravity is unforgiving and I lost about a liter of my coolant so I had to get some more.

For the year model I confirm it's 2016.

Should I vent the coolant somehow? Everything seems to work alright, but there were no bubbles coming out so I guess it's not automatic

According to workshop manual - yes, using procedure described in engine's workshop manual.
VCDS ▷ Select Control Module ▷ 01-Engine ▷ Basic Settings ▷ IDE08087-Test - bleed cooling circuit

I think it would be beneficial to switch on the Webasto as it has a coolant circulation pump of it's own.

Thanks again @mmi

I don't seem to be able to find this option in the list. I am doing as advised:

VCDS ▷ Select Control Module ▷ 01-Engine ▷ Security Access (filling the code)

VCDS ▷ Select Control Module ▷ 01-Engine ▷Basic Settings / Adaptation
