T6.1 VCDS Steps For OEM Heated Seats - HELP!

I’m probably overthinking this and being to cautious but following OEM heated seats install I’m not at the coding stage and using vcds for the first time.
It’s a Hex-V2 purchased from Marshall’s last week.
Connects all ok as can be seen in screenshot.
But I have updates showing, which I believe are stopping me running a baseline scan.
I assume it’s ok to complete the updates and run a scan prior to coding heated seats?
(I don’t see another option)

Looks like its updating the firmware in the cable not the van.

I didn’t think of that, to focused on the van and trying to not cock anything up!

OK - I have spent sometime this evening in the van trying to scroll through options to 'code' the fitment of the heated seats (caravelle seats, new module, correct HVAC controller with heated seats buttons and wiring loom) post completing the wiring.
Has anybody done this before and/or could provide a step by step guide with values?

Just wondering if anyone has managed to do this with VCDS, I have the full version but struggling to get everything working.

I've just fitted the heated seats in my t6.1. But I coded with vctools. There is a few check sums to tick in the hvac and bcm module. Then you need to input the temperature settings for the seats and time intervals. Again this is made easy with vctool backup server database of said t6.1 supporting this.

If you want, I can get these values on Sunday when I am back with my laptop.
