Hi all,
Just got back from the main dealership having place an order for a new Kombi in Ascot Grey ,6-8 month wait with the options we picked.
Went for the DSG after me and the wife took one out for a test drive, nice smooth gear shift and the steering does seem to have improved with the new electric steering system they have upgraded to.
Got some FREE stuff thrown in with the deal which well pleased about.
Just gotta play the waiting game now………

Sorry, my reply sounded somewhat contemptuous - not what I intended. Let's just say, based on personal experience, I have a very healthy scepticism of dealers' projected delivery times and the delivery time you've been given sounds 'optimistic' IMO.

Bav….. no worries pal, reading the horror stories on this forum I understand your skepticism, they did say 5/6 months before I started with the long list of options, the option the dealer did say would hold up the build by about two weeks was strangely the factory fitted tow-bar!!!!! Work that one out

Yeah, I've heard that said - along with numerous other possible delaying factors. Who knows! My take is that the complexities of VW's supply chain issues are just about unfathomable from the outside looking in.

Nice. Ascot grey is a lovely colour.

Agreed on the waiting time. It’s a real lottery at present. I still have 100+ vehicles on order, many over 12 months with no build dates yet.
However on the plus side VW have assured us that production levels for 2023 will be higher than pre-pandemic levels.

I hope to be proved wrong on the above

Wow 100+ …. Not sure I could wait 12 months.
I was going for the candy white as I like it in the edition but it looked to harsh on the new kombi, then I seen the Ascot grey on a Kombi and it looked class, not too sure I like the new front ,compared to the old style T6???
I’ll be looking at upgrading the alloys to a black or dark grey any pointers/idea’s BM? I‘m sure you’ve probably done a few that you could send a photo of.

Check our socials - insta and Facebook - we have modified hundreds of transporters. I’m sure you will get inspiration there.

12 months+ is realistic…..(and what the dealer should be quoting (12-14 months for new builds - however some very basic spec vans have been built quickly …)

Hi everyone
After two weeks deliberation on what colour to go for,I’ve gone with the Ravenna blue.I did a 160 miles round trip today to Leighton van. Had a great chat with the lads and really made me welcome. Ordered my van today from my local dealership who also said it should be 6/7 months. T30 kombi 150 DSG. Will Be getting LVR kit and alloys

6/7 months from order to delivery? Sorry to be a party-pooper, but that's barely credible. For info, when I ordered, I was told 10 months - 16 months later and I'm still 3 months away from my provisional build date. Dealers speak with forked tongues!

He of little faith….. Cross those fingers and pray !! That’s what I’m doing ;)

If it helps I was quoted 12-18 months by my VW Van Dealer when I ordered mine in Feb 22. Fortunately, mine arrived this month and I picked it up yesterday. Prepare for the worst and count yourself fortunate if it arrives early.
