T6.1 Heater temperature factory upgrade

I had the same as most , the plastic white arm snapping in the back of the servo motor, mine had also broken the white linkage so the black arm had nowhere to connect.IMG_5376.jpeg
I ordered both parts from VW and was a little confused why the new part was different.
Taking time to think about it, it now looks like its a factory upgrade to do away with the white part breaking in the motor.

So I have replaced the white pivot part. And the motor now sits directly on top eliminating the weak link.
I have yet to properly try it and measure if the throw of the arms is still the same with the links.IMG_5405.jpeg

Hi Gents I too have the same problem with my heater, As a quick fix I have now manualy adjusted to "Winter mood" = Heat only.

Do you have any tips on changing the broken part. Is there only one screw holding the servo motor, the arm linkage any issues removing these parts?

Well done for a great post :p

Anyone knows where the linkage is on LHD (EU) van located?
Is it mirrored or same side as RHD (UK) ?

Anyone of of our "continental" friends can post a picture of where the damn thing is located inside the cabin?

My goal is just to move it manually one side or the other until VW finds the time to take care of the mess.
Thanks
