T6.1 Heater Linkage

Hi there, just a quick one. I have diagnosed the broken arm so I've ordered the upgraded replacement. I have a few hours today to remove the unit as I'm on nights. If I remove the unit and use the van with the actuator unplugged will it give me any coding errors or can I just plug it back in and carry on when the new part arrives? Cheers
