T6.1 custom side repeater badges - gauging interest

I wasn’t able to find these anywhere, except for the Bulli ones, so I’ve been working with a friends son who is doing an engineering degree and is also a whizz on 3d printer and he’s coming up with a way of doing this. It will mean customisation of text (eg your van or business name instead of transporter) and colours. Cost is tbc but not expected to be more than the OEM ones. Would there be interest in this from others? We should have some samples shortly to show. Early prototype below. If you’re interested just post here and I’ll keep you updated on samples and options.

If you ping me a dm with what you want and are happy to be early adopters then we can get some done. First ones will probably be cheaper as we refine the design. Here’s the latest prototype more refined. It’s actually printed in layers so surround, lettering and backing plus the middle red part (which actually connects 2 separately printed parts) can all be custom colours. He’s playing around with different finishes. Ideally would be good to get a couple of people who can show them on the van and check fitting. I don’t have my new van yet either so can’t!

Yeah that’s the plan but need a couple of volunteers who know what they want so we can try a few for real. Obviously won’t need to pay unless happy. Still refining as he reckons he can get a smooth finish, but be good to get some actual colour ideas / words and some feedback from a couple of people.

To get this moving and make sure he has a good product, we decided to offer the first 3 for free, in return for design feedback and a commitment to try them on the van and send pics that he can use if successful. If first versions are unusable for any reason you’ll get replacements made up until usable (unless for some reason we find it’s not viable).

Hey borat - i am willing to test it. Although its a bit late xD
