T6.1 2024 rear drivers side underbody sheld protection

Hi I've brought a new 2024 T6.1 t32 transporter 3 weeks ago.just checking the spare wheel and noticed the drivers rear near bumper underbody protection is missing rang vw and they said they don't have one on the drivers side. Is this correct as worried about things been protected. Added some photos but hard to take lying down.

Just checked mine which is a 2023 high line and it has a what appears to be a heat shield.

Thanks mine doesn't have anything. Vw say they don't have anything there but are they just saying that as it would cost them

Mine has a shield, but thats because it's where the exhaust is, but mine is a 2023. Where is the exhaust back box on yours?

I have also bought a brand new 2024 T32 6.1 and noticed exactly the same thing! I emailed the dealer and they sent a picture of another without saying it didn't appear to have one. It certainly doest look right!

Heat shield on mine too (23), yet my exhaust stops before the rear anti roll bar. You can read the part number from my ohoto

My exhaust finish well before rear wheel and has heat sheld all the way down as far as exhaust goes then no protection

Sounds like cost cutting, I think I would be tempted to fit one though… even if it’s just to stop that being a mud trap!
