For Sale T5 / T6 – Fitted Rear Speaker Pods - 100mm/4” (3D Printed)

@Tom-E-11 - looking at the photos I think my carpeting is a little lighter in colour. When do you think you’ll get other carpet colours in?

Also - any recommendations for speaker wire and actual speakers..?

Hi @Tom-E-11

I think I’ll have a go at covering them myself- I kind of like the black look, with the transporter wording (not that you’ll see it. )

Are they easy to line/wrap in the carpet? Any advice ? I’ll DM you for payment details.

Hi @nodecentral
Yes straight forward to wrap using the 4 Way Stretch Lining Carpet I recommended above.
I put the join where the red dotted line is, so that it it hidden against the rear quarter panel / ceiling panel when the pod is in place.
The A surface which is on show will look seamless this way.

Once I looked up what nearside and offside meant I was good to go (we’ll just skip over that embarrassing half hour where I wondering why the hell you designed them to point to the wall 😂 !!)

And even through I bought the 4-way stretch carpet and adhesive - I’ve gone with the gloss plastic finish for now.

Next up is wiring the speakers into the connector so they can be seen/use by the stereo ..

I've gone in a different order from you @nodecentral - pods wrapped with carpet I already had, but next step is the same, get in behind my kenwood head unit and make sure the speakers work correctly before I run the cables and fit them in.

The speakers pods seem well designed so far - looking forward to completing the install.

All installed and working correctly (except that my MFSW controls seem to have stopped working)

The speaker pods are very neat and just fit in place in front of the rear tie-downs for my hilo poptop roof.

Thanks again @Tom-E-11
