T5.2 and T6 Electric conversion

I’ve been thinking that it might be be possible to use some 4motion kit and suitable motor/motors mounted neat the rear creating a hybrid!

Yes its possible, but i dont see any advatage in Hybrid.
You need to keep all the Compustion Stuff, which takes a lot weight.
So only minimum Battery is possible ....

Interesting idea, but I think you’re fighting the van a bit with that one. From what I’ve seen, converting a T5.2 or T6 to electric sounds great on paper, but in reality it gets complicated (and expensive) very quickly.

Main issue is batteries — you either end up with limited range, or you load it up with so much weight that it kind of defeats the point of a usable van. Even VW struggled with that on the factory electric versions, which says a lot.

Then there’s the cost… by the time you’ve sourced parts, done the work, and got it all signed off, you’re probably into money that would’ve covered a lot of diesel (or just gone towards a proper EV from the start).

Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely doable and I’ve seen some cool builds, but it feels more like a passion project than something that makes sense day-to-day.

Personally, I’d either run the diesel as-is for now or wait and see how the newer factory EV vans improve — feels like a better route long term 👍

Part #3
Any suggestions regarding the Drive Shafts are welcome

Did you ever watch the THQ video, where they went to a place that has converted a Transporter using Tesla stuff? I will see if I can find it again on youtube.

Edit: I cant find the Fellten one again but I did find:
