Weighed our last month, about 1500kg at the front, 1000kg at the rear, fully kitted up Hillside Leisure Birchover with two of us, dog and lots of tea!
As said earlier in the thread, if loaded correctly, the caravan should only have around 100kg nose weight, the rest of its weight is supported by its own wheels.
If you know someone who is fat, get them to stand on the tow ball and you'll see that the rear of the van will cope pretty well with that sort of load.
What if they're just big boned?...
