Good Evening All,

A Newbie here and my heads about to Burst with all these T6 Models.

Please Hang on while I try to work this out!! HELP

So I'm able to get a Works Vehicle and originally was asked which model T6 I wanted.

I have gone for a T6 T32 4motion 204ps Highline Panel van with a manual Gearbox! ( Supposively they Dont do a manual so it was changed to a DSG)

I've now been informed the MOT will have to be a Class 7 in the future,
Is this really a Problem I need to think about.

Now someones mentioned the rides Hard and springs and Alloys cant be easily changed

Im going to convert the Van into a day camper eventually and want to make sure Im getting the right model.

I go to the Alps a few times a Year and my mates VW Transporter was'nt great in the Snow according to him,

However! Do i really need a T32 4motion or would I be better getting the T30 204ps Higline DSG???????

Any Advice would be great :D

Evening @jonathon83, firstly welcome to the forum.
Yes the options for alloys on a T32 are fewer than the other classifications; this because you need to ensure they are rated to 860kg per wheel, and tyres to a 103.
As to the suspension I can’t agree. I have a T32 sitting on B14’s and find it good from a comfort perspective. When I first got it, it was sat on Eibach 30mm lowering springs and I found it harder and crashy. A number of folk have said similar things, but I don’t think that this is related to T32’s.
A T32 would require a class 7 MOT, but that’s no big shake, there are plenty of class 7 test stations around.
A 4motion would be more planted in the Alps in the winter, however, a 2 wheel drive with the right set of winter tyres will get you out of a broad range of problems.

Hey DavyB,
Thanks for the advice,
Never realsied buying a van could one be so stressful, Ha and so many optional extras

So a T32 4 motion can take a set of B14,s no problems

Cheers for the advice!

It most certainly can. I had mine fitted at Transporter HQ (bit far from you mind) and they said the B14’s were actually slightly easier to fit to a T32 than T38 or T30.
Some places originally said you couldn’t fit to a 4 motion, but that is incorrect, places such as @BognorMotors have done quite a few without any issue.

Incase it helps, my T32 DSG 204 is only 2wd and I had no issues in the snow we had recently, but if I was starting again, I'd more than likely opt for a 4motion just because I think it will be good to have if ever needed. (Which I haven't yet)
Also, my work sometimes puts us in locations on fields, again with no issues.

I'm running 30mm springs at the moment, and personally I find the ride very nice, but will be moving to B14s once I get the time to swap, but that's only because I want the van lower aesthetically.

As for wheels, yes it's a real headache finding suitable sets, but certainly not impossible.
There's loads of T32 owners and pictures throughout the forum to give inspiration, and most members are happy to advise, although copying other members styles bolt for bolt only leads to the copied members having to spend a load more cash changing.
SO STOP IT......
