Hi all
im new to this site I currently drive a 2012 T5 campervan but I am on the look out for a T6 automatic only

Hi and welcome, the VW T6 Automatics are referred to as "DSG" if you are searching.

Just beware of oil leaks pre 2018 vans seem to be affected so worth a check to see if its leaking and if its had the recall done to resolve

Is there a recall on them? I’ve got a 2017 dsg (I’m the 2nd owner) and not sure if this has been done.

Can I call vw customer service to check this?

Mine's also a 2017 DSG and I've not heard anything about this?

recall im not sure but there is an approved factory fix using some sort of epoxy to seal the bolt.

If you get under your van on the passenger side near the front you will see oil if you have the issue

Mine is a 2016 DSG and I wasn’t aware of this either - will check for oil as @The_Lad suggested later.

Mines has went in today for a dsg oil change and service at an independent . And some new discs and pads all round . 2016 model. Will hopefully find out if mines has a leak as they always tell me if they find something with my car . Also second owner and just out off warranty in march so hoping it's fine lol

If out of warranty would VW still repair/replace items that have a known issue e.g. if the fix for this is to epoxy the bolt/seal would they do it for free?

Not to sure if they would fix for free but may pay part of the bill .ano mines has a full history and has already had a dsg oil change as part of the service agreement with previous owner so if mine has had a leak then it should have been rectified then but I have heard that sometimes the fix hasn't worked so will soon find out . Am going to assume if there was a leak then ye would know by the way it changes gear or mibi there is a gear box fluid warning or something of tele tale to look out for and mines is really smooth and even if you go for an overtake it pulls really strong in sport also . Will find out soon and can only call vw and ask but failing than can hope it's an easy fix for independent if vw are not interested
