Syphoning fuel

Oh dammit, heater install on Tuesday, just filled the fuel tank up ... don't want to drive 600 miles, can I syphon some out?

Doubtless they can deal with that during the install - I presume they are tapping into the fuel line. Six miles of fuel or six hundred miles makes little difference to the install! Even installing a separate pickup in the tank, they’d have to manage fuel.

I don't think you can tap into the fuel line, should be a dip tube in the top of the pump (or straight in to the top of the tank as I did with my T5).

They did ask me to bring it pretty empty.

I think the issue is with them dropping a full (heavy) fuel tank vs an empty tank.

Thanks all, it's syphoning very slowly at the moment, remembered I had some pipe from when I had to do the same with my T5, just getting it past the anti syphon thing takes some wiggling.
