I was hoping somebody might be able to give me some information regarding the below. On start up monday morning the coil light started flashing followed by a very rough idle, I think a cylinder down as the shaking and noise was pretty harsh. This has happened once before but when taken into a garage it would'nt repeat the issue. Both times the weather has been very wet, garage pointed to the weather as having brought the issue on, hence why it would'nt repeat as it had dried up by then. Not a moan about the garage in anyway as i was not charged even though they'd looked into water ingress in the fuse box under the battery to no avail - ie bone dry. I'm hoping it could be a loose/degraded wire perhaps, something that is shorting when its damp?! however i thought i'd post here and see what you guys thought. If its more complicated than the above it will be going back to the garage for further inspection. If its something i can look at myself over the weekend maybe someone could point me in the right direction. I'm no mechanic by a long way but willing to delve into some simple removing of parts to gain access to a possible wiring issue as i am competent in that area.
