2.0ltr vw t6 - I’m at a loss here and now have no idea why this isn’t going, the coil light started flashing and it threw up a dpf fault, we added dpf cleaner and cleared the fault. Now it’s stuck in limp mode well I say limp mode it won’t go over 1500rpm we’ve checked the fuel to see if it was contaminated, checked the injectors, changed the pipe from the turbo to the egr valve and still won’t go over. The computer is showing no fault codes does anyone have any ideas?

What fault exactly - fault code please?

still won’t go over. The computer is showing no fault codes
Still flashing coil light? Doesn't go above 1500 rpm even at standstill?
What computer? What does it show about the engine?

There is no fault code and no lights on the dash it just won’t rev over 1500rpm I don’t know about the computer it’s a Mac tools one also it was taking to a tuning centre and plugged in and had a dpf removed and cat and mapped out as well as the speed restriction taken off and that’s where I am

So has it been like this since you had all that work done, or has it been ok, then started to do this ?

Sounds like dpf has become clogged, forced regen required.

He’s had the DPF “removed” I’d assumed that he had physically removed the DPF, not just deleted it. If he’s deleted it & not physically removed it, therein lies the problem.

So what was the dpf cleaner for?

Dunno unless he tried it first & it didn’t work. We need more info from the OP. It sounds like the van’s been buggered about with & left in a mess TBH.

Can you actually clean a DPF while fitted to the vehicle exhaust? Most videos on YT show a length of pipe being tortured with a fire house in a windowed cupboard.
Sounds like all the stuff needed for Euro6 has been removed but the ECU will still be looking for, is the Adblue setup deleted too?
