STOP/START ERROR ON DASH PANEL

Hi,
I am hoping someone could help me with an issue I'm having with my T6 (2017 plate), 2L diesel turbo...

A stop/start error message appears on the dash panel whenever I switch on the ignition. It goes off after a few seconds. I also have a diagnostic code P13D600 - sensor for internal pressure cylinder 3 implausible signal.

My question is - could the 2 be linked? A mechanic says not and the auto electrician says IT IS linked...and when the dodgy glow plug 3 is replaced...the stop/start error will go. Not sure who to believe, before I take the next step. Any advice would be warmly received. Thank you!

As someone said on another thread the other day, everything has to be 100% for the stop/start to function so the error you are seeing is probably causing the issue. Regardless you need to sort out the mechanical issue and it is more critical than the stop/start not working (people pay to get a device to stop the stop/start working!) so do that first and see if it clears

100% it is down to the glow plug
Love the confidence factor.

Fyi... I've just had a full set of glow plugs done in my 2017 150 and it was about £350 with Genuine TPS parts.

The Pressure sensor glow plug was £125 alone!!

Is that £350 just for the plugs? I'v3 been told it's 2.5 hrs labour to strip and rebuild either side of fitting the new plugs. Is that about right mate?

There is a slim chance they break or pull the threads out on removal, so factor in a higher cost should that happen.

The garage should highlight that to you before commencing

Yes £350 all in, local back street mechanic.

I gave him £25 Worth of beer tokens too, as he done it within 24hrs.. he said keep an eye on the water level, as a cooler had to come off.

That's why I got the local guy to do it ...

If one snapped, then the van is already at at the garage..... And they have a specialist they can call out to sort any problems.

Update - had new set of glow plugs fitted and stop/start error still showing. Baffled as to why error message is still showing. No wiring issue found either ??? No codes showing on diag check

how old is your battery?
It's only a few months old. The old one struggled during winter so I replaced it. It was on and off 2 or 3 times for overnight charge and someone said this could have triggered the stop start error message. Battery replaced (plus glow plugs) but message still showing ??

post some pics of the starter battery and its cable connections.

That black tape is not a good sign, any idea why it’s taped up or what lurks beneath ?
That’s the connection for the battery sensor/monitor

I'll strip it back and take a look tomorrow morning. I'll post a photo for your feedback. I'm hoping to get to the bottom of the issue sooner or later, with your help. I'm not too clued up on these things tbh. Cheers!

Was the stop/start error there before you changed the battery or only after you changed the battery?
