Sticky gas pedal - 204 DSG

Noticed that the gas pedal sticks about 3/4 of the way down. I have to push harder to then get it down to the floor. I've checked to see if the pedal is getting caught on the mat but all seems ok. In fact the pedal isn't particularly smooth or free flowing through the range of motion.

Anybody else experience the same?

If it's DSG it has a kick down function ?
The pedal stops an inch short of the floor and requires a firmer press to 'click' it down the last bit this gives you full throttle and makes the van kick down to the lowest gear/highest revs for max acceleration

Put mine in to the Dealer quoting a sticking accelerator. Turns out it IS a feature, kick down or some technical jargon.
Would help if they told you it is a feature. Would have saved mine and their time.
