Steering wheel controls

I need the help of the vastly superior collective intelligence of the forum.

I have a Pioneer AVH8700BT head unit and would like to use the steering wheel controls with it. Will the following connector thingy make this work.

CTSVW016.2 VW Suran, Tiguan, Transporter, Vento Steering Control Adaptor
